Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a personal assistant to the bursar from January / February 2023 (a later start date might be considered). This is a key position within the school, acting as the first point of contact for a number of internal and external organisations/agencies who deal with bursary business. The successful candidate will report directly to the bursar and will liaise closely with the other PAs and the assistant to the Governors. Key responsibilities will include providing the full range of administrative support to the bursar, managing the bursar’s diary and liaising with various heads’ offices and all team leaders within the bursar group.

This is an ideal opportunity for an able and enthusiastic person to contribute to, and provide strong support to the bursary. The ideal candidate will have experience of PA/secretarial work at a senior level, be a confident and assured communicator and be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills. They will be well organised and able to juggle tasks simultaneously without losing attention to detail, and be comfortable working in a busy, reactive environment. Experience of working within an educational environment or a marketing department would be beneficial.
