Smart Teachers is pleased to represent an outstanding independent school in Greenwich (SE3), who is looking for a flexible and reliable PA to the Head Teacher / School Secretary to join their friendly team of staff. The successful candidate will be required to provide personal assistance to the Head Teachers and to assist with general administrative tasks in the school office. This full-time Personal Assistant / School Secretary position is available for an immediate start, and will be appointed on a permanent basis with a salary dependent on the experience of the candidate starting at £21,000.

About the Role

· PA to the Head Teacher / School Secretary

· Full time permanent position (Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm)

· Starting immediately

· 25 days’ annual leave to be taken during school holidays plus bank holidays

· Personal Assistant (PA) to the Head Teacher including organising and managing their diaries

· Take shorthand notes in meetings with parents/staff

· Handle reception enquiries by phone and in person

· Assist the Business Manager to carry out safeguarding checks on staff

· Preparing Risk Assessments

· Helping with organisation of school events

· Salary based on experience starting at £21,000

In order to be considered for this School Secretary role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

· Previous experience of secretarial duties within a school environment essential

· Computer literate

· Enjoy working with children

· High degree of personal and interpersonal skills showing initiative, flexibility, confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion

· Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)

· Recent school-based references and valid DBS/police checks
