A great opportunity for an experienced administrative professional to join The City of Liverpool College as PA to the Principal & Chief Executive, joining a small but dynamic team as the first point of contact for a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. This is a role with a diverse set of responsibilities, where no two days are the same and where you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our senior team to deliver against our ambitious strategic plan – making a real difference for our students, staff and communities across the Liverpool City Region.

We’re looking for a dedicated and dynamic individual who has experience operating independently and with discretion to provide individualised support within a fast-paced, flexible environment. The successful applicant will have a valuable role to play in providing executive support that anticipates business needs, managing upwards and prioritising across a range of complex tasks to ensure the most efficient and effective use of the Principal & Chief Executive’s time.

Opened in 1992 after being formed from a number of colleges in the city we now have 5 locations situated in the heart of Liverpool. Currently the college serves more than a third of all 16-18 year olds in Liverpool, and educates almost 12,000 learners a year. In 2018 the college achieved a pass rate of 99.6% beating the national average of 97.6% for a-level results. Within this year as well we had a 100% pass rate in modern languages.

However, the college itself is not just facts and figures. The mission statement of provide high quality skills and education by delivering opportunities for growth to all people and business of the Liverpool City region, shows inclusivity and a community understanding. The ease in which to get here helps quite a lot to. Be it driving, buses, trains or even a ferry you are never short of options. 

Being that working/living in Liverpool does offer a wide range of experiences to have. Historical buildings like the Bombed out church, Royal court theatre house or even a hidden gem like the Bluecoat School lane which boasts being the oldest building in Liverpool. The Beatles museum is a popular place to explore the band and possible find bits out about them you might not have known. Or if just unwinding and relaxing there are multiple pubs/bars, restaurants, and comedy nights to enjoy.

That’s not to say our college doesn’t offer its own fair share of experiences. Within the 5 locations the following are available;
