Job overview

Beths Grammar School is a popular selective boy’s grammar school with a co-ed sixth form and academy status. The school was rated Outstanding by Ofsted in 2007 and again in 2012. Beths is an academic institution. It focuses on hard work and a high level of achievement by both students and staff as well as developing rounded, confident young men and women.

An exciting opportunity exists for an exceptional Part Time Teacher of Art to join our successful Art Department who will inspire our students and help them to realise their full artistic  potential.

This appointment is temporary to cover for the unavailability of the existing post holder due to maternity leave and will therefore continue until the employee returns to this post, or until alternative arrangements are made to cover the duties of the post.  Therefore, this post is offered from February 2021 or Easter 2021 until February 2022, in the first instance.  The successful candidate will be able to work a 0.6 timetable (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays) and be able to transmit their enthusiasm and commitment for the subject to students and whilst teaching  Art to A Level.

We warmly welcome applications from experienced and beginning teachers but, unfortunately, due to the current situation, we are unable to offer pre or post-application visits.

Please note that we reserve the right to close this advert and interview possible candidates before the advertised closing date should a sufficient response have been received.  Therefore, please ensure that you complete your application as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
