Queen’s Gate is a thriving GSA day school for girls aged 4 –18 and is ideally situated in Central London to take advantage of the many educational opportunities on offer. Our Design and Technology Department is well respected, lively and innovative and is very well-resourced.
We require from September 2020, a well-qualified teacher of Design and Technology to teach in our Senior School, on a part-time basis. The department consists of three teachers who teach flexibly across different subject specialisms and is supported by a full-time technician. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach Design and Technology at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. (There may also be the opportunity to teach A level Product Design and/or in the Junior School.) Candidates should have working knowledge of CAD/CAM software and be confident model-making in a range of materials. Specialist knowledge or a background in Product Design would be an advantage. The department is well-resourced and the successful candidate will join a strong, collaborative team.
He/she will also be expected to play a part in the life of the School, including involvement in pastoral responsibilities and extra-curricular clubs/activities.
Candidates invited for interview will be expected to bring a portfolio of work with them.
