Windrush Church of England Primary School is a brand new school with a nursery that will cater for children aged two to 11, opening in Windrush Place, Witney, in September 2021.
The Free School has been commissioned by Oxfordshire County Council to meet the need of several new housing developments in the town, eventually adding over 1500 homes to Witney. The school is purpose built by the consortium of developers on Windrush Place.
The school’s capacity is inclusive of 8 places reserved for specialist resourced provision for children with communication and interaction needs (autism and speech and language difficulties), physical or sensory needs.
The school will be part of River Learning Trust (RLT), a Multi-Academy Trust responsible for a growing number of schools and a school centred initial teacher training (SCITT) provider within Oxfordshire and Swindon.
RLT is committed to the professional learning and development of staff with high-quality training in-school and through the Oxfordshire Teaching Schools Alliance.
