We are currently looking for a Part-time College Counsellor to be based at ACS Egham International Schools.

This role will work as part of the team in the high school playing a lead role in university counselling for students in grades 9-12. To work collaboratively supporting and guiding students transitioning from high school to further education and taking a major role and responsibility for university counselling. Responsibility will be for 50% of seniors in the college application process, 50% of students in grade 9-11 preparing for applications and training high school faculty to carry out their part in the application process.

Essential skills:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a high school counselling role
  • Strong IT skills and knowledge of Naviance
  • Experience of teaching preferred but not essential
  • A proactive approach to working with teachers, students and parents
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong IT skills preferred, good IT skills essential
  • Demonstrates consistently high standards of personal and professional conduct
  • Fluent in English

About ACS Egham International School

ACS Egham International School is an independent, co-educational, all-through day school located in the town of Egham, Surrey. Part of the ACS group, which runs a number of independent international schools in the UK and elsewhere, ACS Egham provides for over 600 students aged 3-18.

The school occupies a 20-acre site that has seen consistent investment and development over the years. ACS Egham offers all four International Baccalaureates, at Primary, Middle, Certificate and Diploma level. It also provides for students intending to study for a US high school diploma.
