Job overview

Part-time Economics & Business Studies Teacher (KS5) up to 0.25 role

Post to commence September 2020

Closing date: 21 August 2020

Giggleswick School is seeking to appoint an inspirational Teacher of Business Studies and BTEC Business who will have the passion and expertise to deliver first class teaching which will stimulate pupils of all abilities, ensuring they make excellent progress. Applications are welcomed from RQT or someone with experience; equally, we would consider an NQT who has had experience of teaching Sixth Form.

An ability to teach Business Studies to A level is essential and knowledge of the new BTEC in Business Studies would be advantageous. We would also welcome candidates with experience of teaching Economics at KS5 but this is not essential.

Small class sizes, professional colleagues and enthusiastic children within a supportive community make this a wonderful teaching opportunity.

Any prospective candidate will be expected to show an active commitment to the values and expectations of our boarding community and to the welfare of the pupils within it. Enthusiasm to assist in a strong co-curriculum is an important quality of all who work at Giggleswick.

Competitive salary in line with qualifications and experience.   Assistance with accommodation may be available.

If you are interested in applying for this position please see our website for further details www.giggleswick.org.uk or contact the HR team for an application pack. Email: hr@giggleswick.org.uk telephone: 01729 893096.

Giggleswick School is an Equal Opportunities employer and committed to safeguarding & promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment by complying with the school’s Child Protection Policy at all times.  Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
