Newton Prep is a successful and dynamic school for over 600 sparky, community-minded children aged 3-13, situated at the heart of one of London’s most exciting developing areas in Nine Elms. We are seeking to appoint an experienced and qualified NNEB or NVQ Level 3 practitioner in Child Care (or equivalent) to work in the Foundation Stage. The successful candidate whilst working under the supervision of a qualified teacher must be able to work independently and be capable of working with small groups of children in order to be able to assess their progress and development. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage, strong written and oral communication skills, combined with good organisational skills and the ability to form and maintain positive suitable relationships with children.
This is a permanent appointment to start early December 2019/January 2020. Salary is on a range £13,901 - £16,902 (actual pro rated salary) depending on qualifications and experience. Hours of work are Monday 8.00am to 4.30pm and Tuesday to Friday 8.00am to 2.00pm, term time only (35 weeks per year).
