Mother Teresa Primary School is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic part-time music specialist teacher to join our collaborative team. The successful applicant will need to be available to teach 40 minute music lessons from Prep – Year 6 each Tuesday and Friday and plan, assess and report in this curriculum learning area. Experience in teaching Kodaly would be an advantage. The ideal candidate would also be able to continue the choir program each week and be available to support the participation of our choir in upcoming events. Mother Teresa School is a growing, contemporary school community and staff are required to hold appropriate qualifications and experience, demonstrate effective communication skills, an ability to work in partnership with colleagues, students and parents/carers and a willingness to be flexible, innovative and creative in their approach to learning and teaching. We have invested in a wide range of resources including class sets of recorders, Angklung (Indonesian percussion instrument) and ukuleles and keyboards.

Mother Teresa School opened in January 2011 as an Archdiocesan school serving the Parish of St Patrick's Beenleigh. We now have classes from P-6 and will progress to a three stream school, with an expected population of approximately 600 students. As a new school, we will be incorporating contemporary pedagogies and technologies, whilst still maintaining a strong pastoral environment centred on our catholic faith, traditions and ethos.
