We’re now seeking an experienced Cleaner to join our team on a part time basis in September, at our brand new school.
The Role: Providing a cleaning service for the school across all types of rooms, including offices, classrooms, laboratories, halls, corridors, and toilets.
Key Duties:
- Vacuum cleaning floors.
- Spot cleaning of spillages.
- Wiping furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polishing door glass.
- Emptying and cleaning bins (daily).
- Cleaning toilets including sanitary fittings and surrounds (daily).
- Mopping and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces.
- Wiping, dusting, cobweb removal, polishing.
- Replenishing janitorial supplies in toilets, etc (daily).
- Undertake deep clean as and when required.
- Checking and closing windows, switching off lights after work and ensure the building is secure on exit.
Like many SEN environments; your duties are likely to vary and therefore candidates will need to be flexible and be able to lend a hand whenever required.
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:
- Some knowledge of Health and Safety Regulation in regards to cleaning equipment and cleaning materials.
- Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the school team.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to prioritise work and be flexible.
- Experience of undertaking a range of cleaning duties.
