Westminster School seeks a motivated and passionate Teacher of Art to join their thriving Art Department on a temporary basis.

The successful candidate will make a meaningful contribution to the School through their creative and visual teaching, working to meet the educational needs of their pupils. An enthusiasm for drawing and traditional methods would be welcomed, as the successful candidate will have a focus on Lower School (Year 9, 10 and 11) teaching. They will also be given their own dedicated teaching space/studio to work and teach from.

The successful candidate will possess previous experience of teaching Art in a school setting, including experience of writing their own scheme of work. They will be an inspirational Teacher, with a genuine passion for Art and the ability to inspire and communicate this to their pupils.

The post requires the successful candidate to carry out their teaching across four days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday). However, on Friday and Saturday each day requires only 85 minutes of taught lessons. Our studios are open until 18:30 on a daily basis and the successful candidate is more than welcome to use their studio space outside of their allocated teaching time.

The total number of hours to be worked per week is 50% of the total timetable (Monday through to Saturday).
