Seeking a Passionate Geography Teacher to Cover Maternity Leave

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography teacher looking for an exciting opportunity? We are currently seeking a part-time Geography teacher to cover a maternity leave position, starting in September and continuing up until July.

Experience of teaching GCSE is desirable. Our school is committed to providing an enriching learning environment where students are encouraged to explore the world around them through the lens of geography. With a supportive staff and engaged student body, we aim to foster a love for the subject and inspire curiosity about the world. You will be joining a highly experienced and motivated geography department that is well resourced and extremely supportive. We promote the highest standards of teaching and learning and highly value staff welfare.

Geography is a very popular subject at St Joseph’s College both at GCSE and A level. St Josephs College is also a teacher training school and the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work with and mentor trainee teachers. The successful candidate will have a willingness to support our strong Catholic ethos; however, we welcome applications from Catholics and non-Catholics.

St Joseph's College is an oversubscribed 11-18 mixed Catholic school. Our school roll is 1100 students which includes 400 in our 6th form. Applicants are welcome to visit the school or telephone if they have any questions.
