Standish Community High School is advertising for a Teacher of Music (0.6 FTE) to cover maternity leave preferably from 3rd June 2019 however; this can be negotiable to fall in line with resignation dates for employment to commence 1st September 2019.
The successful candidate will be a talented, enthusiastic and dynamic teacher who will join the Performance Department in providing high quality music and performance education. In addition, they will ensure that lessons are delivered effectively within the fully equipped Drama and Music studios and will be committed to creating lessons that will support student’s enjoyment and progress.
Students are taught using a variety of different mediums and have access to music and theatre technologies to enhance and enable their learning and progress.
The successful candidate will be an experienced music professional with a sound knowledge of the complexities of teaching and learning, and curriculum development for the KS3-KS4 age and ability range. All instrumentalists will be considered but piano skills are highly desirable. High quality communication, administrative and leadership skills will be an essential prerequisite for this position and an interest in Drama would be of benefit.
