About Woodford Green Preparatory School

About Woodford Green Preparatory School

Woodford Green Preparatory School is a independent, co-educational preparatory establishment based in Woodford Green, Redbridge.  Pupils are taught from 3 - 11 years.

Known locally as the "Red School" because of the scarlet uniforms, Woodford Green Preparatory School was founded in 1932 to provide a non- denominational Christian education for boys and girls, a tradition that has been maintained throughout our history and expansion to some 384 pupils. We aim to provide a learning environment that empowers children to reach their educational and personal potential whilst nurturing their self-confidence and self-esteem; hence our motto "Let Each Flame Burn Brighter".

We are heavily oversubscribed and highly successful with a strong and consistent emphasis on the needs of individual pupils that focuses on enabling pupils to challenge, question and develop. Our 11+ examination results speak for themselves.
