Smart Teachers is recruiting for a Part-time Year 1 Teacher to join a successful and popular school in the London Borough of Ealing. This part-time Year 1 Teacher position will be contracted for the full academic year. There is also a possibility that this role could lead to a permanent placement for the right candidate. 

About the Role

  • Part-time Year 1 Teacher to commence in early October 2018
  • Will be leading a KS1 class 2 days per week (days yet to be finalised)  
  • PPA time will also be available on one of the contact days
  • All of the main planning and preparation will be done
  • Candidate must have EYFS / KS1 experience with an excellent knowledge of phonics 
  • Highly experienced support staff available in the class 
  • Competitive rate from £140+ depending on experience

In order to be considered for this role, the Part-time Year 1 Teacher will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree 
  • Proven experience teaching the UK curriculum within the past two years (highly desirable, but not essential)
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS / police checks
