As a Pastoral Support Assistant at Bridgeway School, you’ll help us meet our young peoples’ emotional needs. Our young people have challenging complex emotional and behavioral needs and need more support than most. You’ll make sure they get it by applying high standards of care. It means working with families and developing programmes for each individual young person. With careful assessment and planning, you’ll create a positive learning environment where every young person can thrive.
You already have experience working with young people with ASD and other associated complex needs in a school or care setting. So you understand their developmental needs and what pastoral care entails. A good listener who can motivate and work in a team, you inspire young people to achieve. Flexibility and good organizational skills mean you’ll be an asset to the Witherslack Group.
For children with complex, challenging needs, the level of care and education must go above and beyond. That’s what drives us, here at Witherslack Group. Through our aspirational homes, schools and ethos, we’ve achieved the highest possible outcomes. In short, we’re enhancing life opportunities.
We know you’re going to do great things. We offer a salary and benefits package that’s among the best in our sector. You’ll receive a competitive salary, full school holidays, contributory pension (matched up to 5%), Life Insurance based on two times your annual base salary and comprehensive induction and ongoing training, as well as extensive Group staff benefits such as Medicash Health Plan/Employee Assistance and Cycle to Work Scheme. Witherslack conducts DBS Enhanced checks and covers the costs for all new employees.
