You will have a proven track record of employing strategies that engage and motivate learners with a diverse range of needs. You will be pro-active in monitoring achievement and progression and be skilled in implementing disciplinary sanctions where necessary. You will have a good understanding of pastoral needs and contribute to the college’s ethos of high expectations. You will support learners in developing their life skills, study skills, organisation and approach to learning. You will be required to help to design, implement and quality assure a robust and meaningful tutorial programme that addresses key aspects of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework. 

As a pastoral leader you will work alongside curriculum teams to break down barriers and ensure that all learners are able to achieve successful outcomes both academically and socially. You will have the skills to deliver exemplary, high quality group and one to one meetings which ensure the achievement and progress of every learner. Knowledge and experience of Safeguarding is essential. A Pastoral Leader should be an outstanding classroom practitioner and relevant experience in delivering tutorials would also be an advantage.
