Job overview

The Whitby High School is a highly successful 11-18 secondary school with over 1600 students on role which includes a thriving sixth form.  This popular, over-subscribed school places the achievement of all learners as priority and as a result academic standards are high and improving year on year.

Governors wish to appoint a Pastoral Leader to be responsible for the attendance, welfare and behaviour of students in a pastoral ‘House’. Provide strategic leadership of the House and lead a group of form tutors, with the aim of providing first-class care and support to enable young people to fulfil their potential. Work in a wider system of support and with other agencies to support children and families.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience in a similar role.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with students to help The Whitby High School become even more successful.
