Salary: Scale 6 Point 12-17, Actual Salary (£21,141.54 - £23,168.87), (£24,496 – £26,845FTE) plus Fringe

Contract: 37 hours a week, Term time only, 39 working weeks, 45 paid weeks

The Ongar Academy is a member of Bridge Academy Trust which educates children aged 11-19. The Trust would like to recruit a Pastoral Administrative Assistant. 

Specific responsibilities:  

·        Assist in supporting and improving student performance, progress, behaviour and attendance. 

·        Maintain current knowledge of students that require pastoral support; to be accepted as a person they can turn to for guidance.

·        To assist in the implementation of strategies to promote the welfare, guidance, and personal and social development of students.

·        To assist in the organisation, monitoring and promoting of students’ achievements and successes and to celebrate them, including the organisation of Rewards Events and displays.

·        To coordinate and maintain accurate recording systems, and other sources of data, to support and monitor the positive and negative aspects of student behaviour and identify behaviour patterns.   

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share in the commitment. Appointments will be subject to DBS clearance and satisfactory references. If successful, an enhanced DBS check would be sought.
