Pastoral Support Officer 

The Howard School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Pastoral Support Officer to join our team as soon as possible, working 37 hours per week, 8:00 – 16:00, Monday – Friday, Term Time Only.   

Working within the Pastoral team the Pastoral Support Officer will be responsible the safeguarding and supporting the wellbeing, personal and social development of students. 

The successful candidate will be student focused, confident, professional, approachable, will need good time management, and have previous admin experience, preferably from a school environment. 

The salary for this role will be dependent on experience. This will range from £21,968 - £27,852 per annum (NJC C1 points 6 – 19).  

This is an exciting time to join The Howard School, with several significant changes planned for the near future that will support our move towards excellence. We have recently opened a new Science and DT block in November 2021, which saw a fantastic £5m investment in The Howard School from the Department of Education. This state-of-the-art block has already been a hit with pupils and staff, helping the pupils to further their learning in a purpose-built environment.
