Job overview

Baylis Court School is a popular and oversubscribed school for girls aged 11-18 in Slough, Berkshire. We are seeking to appoint, as soon as possible a Pastoral Support Officer to join our fantastic community.

We seek to appoint an experienced Pastoral Support Officer who will work with safeguarding and pastoral teams to support our wonderful students. This will include supporting them with any barriers to learning which could include mental health, wellbeing, physical health, personal or family difficulties or their own behaviours.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role and will be able to demonstrate  experience supporting and working with parents, children and young people with additional needs. You will be able to demonstrate good communication skills both written and verbally. You will be able to work as part of a team but also demonstrate initiative and the ability to work alone. If you are highly motivated and believe that you have these qualities, and are interested in working as part of our school team, then we look forward to hearing from you.

You will require sound understanding of safeguarding within an educational setting.

We also offer a forward-thinking Employee Assistance Programme, Medical Cash Plan, Eyecare Vouchers and Wider Wallet benefit hub. Since we’re close to the centre of Slough, travel connections are excellent. The M4 is within easy reach and also the mainline rail station.

CLOSING DATE: noon, 6 June 2022.
