Aureus School is a brand new, state of the art STEAM specialist mixed comprehensive school that opened on the Great Western Park, Didcot, in September 2017. We currently have over 500 students, growing each year to a capacity of 1200 students. We are looking to expand our pastoral support offering and are seeking a Pastoral Welfare Leader.
The core purpose of the role is to work with and as part of the Teaching and Support Staff teams to ensure full support for all students; to safeguard the children they serve and protect the children from harm in all forms; to lead on tracking the academic, attendance, behaviour and welfare progress of the students they serve and support the teachers and SLT; to act as a role model for coaches by demonstrating high quality pastoral care and academic monitoring of students; to work very closely with the Senior Leaders Behaviour and SEND and other staff to reduce barriers to learning and promote academic and pastoral excellence.
This appointment will be for 37.5 hours per week over 39 weeks of the year - term time (including INSET days). Working hours are 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday. The actual starting salary will be £23,975 with an FTE equivalent of £27,000.
