Payroll and Pensions Officer

Post: Permanent, full time 35 hours per week, 52 weeks a year.

Salary £35,000 per annum.  

An exciting opportunity has come up at James Allen’s Girls’ School and we are seeking an experienced and proactive individual to help us deliver short, medium and long-term ambitions. In the short term this individual will be working with Civica to migrate our existing payroll system (Payrite) to a new HR & Payroll system. In the medium term this role will move to one that supports the outsourcing of the payroll function setting up rigorous processes and systems to ensure a smooth transition.  And finally, in the longer term this role will become an integral member of the School providing support and assistance to all staff with regard to pay and pension matters. 

We are looking for someone who has experience of all of the above and preferably an individual who has worked with Civica and/or Payrite.  Strong organisational skills are a must as is the ability to work to tight and exact deadlines.  The successful applicant will have above average IT skills and have a real appetite for improving processes through automation and workflow but also clear and thorough documentation.
