LLS are pleased to offer a unique teaching and strategic lead opportunity for an ambitious PE teacher.

The role is initially located in Pembrokeshire, and the teaching commitment is to deliver BTEC Sport qualifications to students for approximately 14-18 hours per week. In addition, the position will include responsibilities for marketing and recruitment, in and beyond the Pembrokeshire area.

The successful applicant will have a desire to develop their career beyond teaching and learning and they will be excited by the prospect of growing an established post 16 education programme - eventually managing their own team of staff. Future potential earnings exceed the main teacher pay scale and the role has previously attracted school leaders, in other locations.

Who are LLS?

The company was founded in 2008 and specialise in the delivery of sixth form sports courses operating in four countries including England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Qatar. LLS have developed a reputation for being leaders in their field and this innovative education model has been introduced to sixth form curriculums across the UK and Middle East.

LLS’ mission is to train the next generation of sports industry professionals and more than 400 young people enroll onto full-time courses annually. Learners who successfully secure a place to study with LLS are provided with an outstanding education in addition to access to weekly work experience and the companies professional network. From starting the LLS course, students are set a goal of achieving in excess of 1,000 voluntary work experience hours which can be accumulated in various setting within the local community and further afield.

A bespoke enrichment curriculum sits alongside academic study which is designed to ensure students are given the best possible opportunity to enhance their CV’s and UCAS applications, ultimately ensuring they have an excellent chance of securing a place at their first choice university or being at the front of the jobs queue. Included in the menu of activities are the exclusive Global Coaches Conference which welcomes active sports employers from around the world; the Guest Speaker Series sees a host of sports professionals visit LLS’ different education locations whilst an annual trip to Madrid provides learners with multiple cultural experiences in addition to two days of voluntary experience at Kings College.

LLS are proud to employ a full-time staff of 30+ experienced teaching, sports and business specialists with the Senior Leadership Team including two former high school Vice Principals. The Director of Education acts as Headteacher strategically overseeing the quality of teaching and learning across all geographical locations. Teachers are supported with access to half-termly inset days where the full education team come to together to share resources and best practice. 

The company are proud to offer students a diverse range of pathways upon graduating from the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma which include traditional options such as University and Apprenticeships, whilst the prospect of being paid to coach around the globe on 6 week to 12 month contracts is genuinely unique to LLS. Popular destinations amongst graduates include America, Canada, Sri Lanka, Qatar, China, Finland and Australia; in 2019 more than 100 young people coached abroad thanks to LLS education programme. 

In 2016 a sister company was launched called Your Tour which employs its own team of staff who deliver bespoke sports tours to schools, colleges and teams. Thanks to this introduction, LLS students and staff can enjoy a whole range of new experiences including residential trips the companies Head Quarters in Liverpool, in addition to behind the scenes access at some of the world’s leading sports facilities.
