Due to the significant increase in sports premium funding a high school in Bury are enthusiastic to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic and talented PE teacher. 

The successful candidate will support and lead the children in a range of sports with a view to extending subject to funding as well as supporting students within class.
 

As a PE teacher you will be working in a school that is a very successful, friendly and popular community school. The school are committed to offering a first class academic education coupled with excellent vocational opportunities and preparation for the world of work.  Sport is a strength and all of the students learn how to ‘Live well’; to cook, eat healthily and be physically active.  Personal, moral, cultural and social education is crucial to the life of our school. The appointed PE teacher will share this outlook.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of a range of sports and significant coaching experience and an interest in a wide range of sports is essential. The school has been working hard to develop the PE curriculum and number of cross curricular clubs on offer during the last academic year. In addition the successful candidate will assist in extracurricular clubs.

Essential 

- Qualified teacher status(QTS)

- A positive attitude and strong communication skills

- A willingness to support students with special educational needs

- Good subject knowledge

Desirable

· Experience working with vulnerable children/young people

· A qualification or expertise in a relevant field such as education, PE ,sports coaching 

· DBS check on the update service

· Driving licence
