About the role

To plan and deliver all aspects of the Physical Education curriculum across all year groups.

To develop the assessment of this subject to ensure children are making better than expected progress in Physical Education. Provide appropriate feedback to pupils, parents and class teachers.

To use assessment information to identify physical education opportunities for all children.

To develop the extra-curricular opportunities available and to lead on the delivery of a greater range of break time activities and after school clubs.

To develop school to school approach working both locally and within the Academy Trust.

To develop links with local and national sporting agencies to ensure best possible outcomes for the children in this school.

To promote the well-being, health and happiness of the children in their lesson and any other assigned groups; foster positive self-esteem and hold high expectations of children’s work and behaviour;

To keep up to date with new sports initiatives. 

About our Academy

Eresby School seeks to be a centre of excellence enabling each pupil to be educated to the highest possible standard.

We cater for pupils aged between 2 and 19 years old, with a wide range of special educational needs.

Our curriculum, teaching and ethos is designed to meet the needs of children and students who have severe to moderate learning difficulties and complex needs. Our pupils needs are wide ranging including those with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, varying degrees of developmental delay, profound and multiple difficulties and sensory difficulties.

We have been rated as ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted three times

Eresby School seeks to be a centre of excellence enabling each pupil to be educated to the highest possible standard.

The Aims Of School Are To:

1. Provide an appropriate education for all pupils, based on the Foundation/National Curriculum, adapted as necessary to meet the individual needs of our pupils.
