We seek to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and well-qualified girls’ PE teacher to teach in our highly successful PE department. 

Are you someone with excellent subject knowledge and a drive to ensure our pupils are provided with the best curriculum and extra-curricular sports programme using resources available to the school?

The successful candidate for this post:  

  • will have energy and passion for your subject, innovative teaching and learning strategies and a keen commitment to extra-curricular provision 
  • will be an outstanding practitioner, with the energy to inspire, motivate and challenge students 
  • has a positive 'can do' attitude with colleagues and students 
  • believes in the right of every student to succeed 
  • has excellent inter personal skills and is a real team player.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach across the age and ability range. You will have the ability to motivate pupils and work as part of a team to ensure all pupils reach their full potential. Support for the department’s extensive extra-curricular programme will be essential.

Physical activities at our school include, athletics, football, rugby, netball, gymnastics, tennis, basketball, bike studio (Upper Site only) and dance.

Shortlisted candidates will be advised by 3pm on Tuesday 19 October 2021.

Interviews will take place at the Lower Site 50 London Rd Enfield EN2 6EL on Thursday 21 October 2021 and will involve teaching a 50-minute lesson on a topic to be given, a written task, and tour of the Lower Site by students.

About St Anne's Catholic High School for Girls

St Anne’s is a girls-only, comprehensive, Roman Catholic secondary school with sixth form spread across two campuses. The upper site campus is in Palmers Green, London, and the lower site campus in Enfield. It is a voluntary aided state school in the Archdiocese of Westminster. The school will provide 1,089 places for secondary and sixth form students between the ages of 11-18, when fully subscribed.

The school was founded in September 1994 as an amalgamation of The Holy Family Convent School and St Angela’s RC School, two other faith schools.
