Job description:

Are you an energetic, resilient, and inspiring educator with a passion for sport, fitness, and helping young people succeed?

Teenage Kicks, a specialist independent school for pupils with EHCPs and diverse learning needs, is looking for an engaging full-time PE Teacher to join our team from September 2026.

This is not your average teaching role. Our PE provision is designed to improve confidence, teamwork, resilience, and emotional regulation through physical activity and sport. You will work with small groups of pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that encourage participation, personal development, and healthy lifestyles.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Plan and lead a range of sports, fitness, and physical activity sessions

  • Adapt lessons to support students with SEMH needs and EHCP outcomes

  • Promote teamwork, resilience, self-confidence, and positive behaviour

  • Foster a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment

  • Contribute to our inclusive, trauma-informed school culture

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) desirable, but not essential

  • Experience teaching PE at secondary level

  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to motivate and engage pupils with diverse learning needs

  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach

  • A genuine passion for sport, fitness, and supporting young people

What We Offer:

  • A supportive and collaborative team environment

  • Small class sizes and a relationship-based approach to learning

  • A meaningful opportunity to make a difference every single day

  • Access to CPD and professional development tailored to specialist provision

  • Term-time working only (plus 5 INSET days)

Teenage Kicks is a registered independent school committed to the safeguarding of children and young people. All offers of employment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

ECTs welcome.
