Our colleagues’ wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at OFG, so we’re always looking for new ways to improve everyone’s work/life balance. We’re taking part in a trial of the 4-Day Working Week, meaning that you could be working one day less a week (or equivalent).

4DWW will be rolled out within our school, when we have a full complement of staff, and within the next year – so there’s never been a more exciting time to join us #teamOFG!

Job title:             PE Teacher

Location:           Red Kite School, Princes Risborough

Salary:        Up to £42,000 per annum dependent on experience **(This salary is NOT subject to pro-rata and is the full amount before tax)**

Hours:                37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday

Contract:            Permanent; Term Time only

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a PE Teacher to join our close-knit team.

Red Kite is a brand-new independent special educational needs school which will cater for up to 60 pupils with social and emotional health needs.

The school is based in the beautiful market town Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire. This is an exciting opportunity for anybody who wants to be a part of the successful development of a brand-new setting and make a difference to education of our pupils.

The role

As a dynamic and motivated qualified teacher, you already have a passion for making a difference in the lives of pupils and young people. In this role, you will have every opportunity to live up to this ambition, responding to the needs of each individual as you help them flourish and thrive.

You will plan and deliver engaging learning on a daily basis, developing exciting and innovative methods that stimulate interest and excitement in the classroom. Working as a Teacher with us is not your average teaching role. At Acorn Education, you are able to work creatively, making the most of all the extensive resources and expert support we have available.

Our class sizes are small, so you are able to create a nurturing learning environment designed around each individual’s needs, spending quality time with each pupil. You will observe, monitor and assess them, making sure their personal development and wellbeing are as important as the academic curriculum.

Who we are looking for?

You will be a passionate PE teacher and a great communicator, as comfortable talking to pupils and young people as you are with contributing to the school’s vision and direction.

Our schools are unique environments, each one having its own special atmosphere and range of opportunities and resources. Our Teachers enjoy becoming part of their school’s ‘family’, exploring the potential of the building and environment and getting to know the brilliant pupils and young people in our care.

You will enjoy building these caring relationships as well as liaising with fellow professionals, whether they are colleagues in the same school or they work in the pupil’s previous educational establishments.

You will have excellent written English skills too, along with a passion for working in collaboration with other members of our multidisciplinary team, sharing information in both formal and informal situations.
