The Swiss International School of Qatar is seeking a dynamic PE / PHE Teacher for September 2020. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to be part of the founding team of educators that is establishing the IB MYP at SISQ.
SISQ is a young IB continuum school and is fast becoming one of the leading educational institutions in the region.
The successful candidate will have the following essential qualities:
- An outstanding PE teacher first and foremost.
- Strong assessment design that focuses on non-traditional creative methods of assessing student knowledge, understanding, and skills.
- Comfort and ease with technology including Google for education and video editing software.
- Willingness to use subject knowledge in an innovative way within the MYP framework.
- Plan and contribute to a progressive curriculum that embraces the IB framework and school vision.
- Self-direction, self-management and collaboration skills.
- Excellent subject knowledge, preferably with a degree in Physical Education or a strong Sports degree
- A commitment to student learning and safeguarding
The following qualities would be an advantage:
- Experience in IB MYP and/or DP
- Experience in an international setting
