This is a permanent part-time role 29.5 hours per week, all year round, these hours can be arranged over 4 or 5 days per week for example (7.5 x 3 days and 7 x 1 day or  6 hours x 4  days and 5.5hours x 1 day).

As the  People Directorate (HR) Cluster Administrator you will be joining the HR Officer to be responsible for the day to day, operational aspects of PD Administration in a fast paced, warm and welcoming all through academy.

This role has been designed for a great communicator with extraordinary attention to detail as you liaise with central functions and leaders within the academy to deliver successful recruitment campaigns and onboarding procedures as well as other elements of the employee lifecycle.

You will be supported by the PD Cluster Manager and will have the opportunity to drive your career development.

The role involves being hands on and navigating between regular tasks, responding to ad hoc queries.

About the role

The role entails carrying out new starter/onboarding activities which will involve undertaking essential pre-employment checks. You will also process monthly changes to employee’s terms and conditions, prepare employment documents and maintaining accurate and complete employee records both on the PD database (i-Trent) and in personnel files.

Our ideal candidate will have:  

  • studying for a CIPD or equivalent HR qualification       
  • experience of delivering and advising on transactional HR processes       
  • experience of using and maintaining HR information systems (ideally i-Trent)       
  • an up to date knowledge of employment legislation       
  • excellent written and oral communication skills       
  • a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people       
  • They will also be a team player with a flexible and proactive approach and be committed to living out our ethos and 9 Habits in every aspect of their work.

Oasis Academy Shirley Park is a mixed, non-selective, Christian, 3-19 academy with sixth form, situated in Croydon in London. The secondary school, which opened as an all-through academy in September 2009, has 1,538 students on its roll, 129 of whom are students in the sixth form.
