Part-time (two days a week), 11-month fixed-term contract
We seek to appoint a Performing Arts Assistant from September 2024 for an 11-month fixed-term contract, from 1 September 2024 to 31 July 2025. This is a part-time position (two days a week), with exact days to be mutually agreed.
The post is designed to provide the opportunity to develop first hand practical experience of working in a school. The role would appeal to those who possess a strong interest in working with young people within Performing Arts and Music. They will also possess knowledge of, or have the ability to learn, the technical elements of theatre, such as lighting, sound, and scenery. In addition to this, the candidate will be willing to help out with administrative tasks and the day to day running of the Music and Performing Arts Department.
Regarding qualifications, this role would be suitable for a candidate educated up to A-Level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, or a recent University Graduate with a relevant degree.
The ideal candidate will inspire enthusiasm and confidence in our students, will be an excellent communicator and will be a team player, keen to share ideas with colleagues.
