We are seeking to appoint a committed, passionate, and enthusiastic Violin Teacher to teach across all areas of the school from age 4 to 18.
The role is for those with 1:1 instrumental teaching experience primarily of Violin but experience of teaching and promoting Viola would be an advantage. In addition, the candidate will take on one wider opportunities violin class each week with juniors and lead the string ensemble each week, consisting of prep and senior pupils.
The working hours are approximately 5 hours per week of 1:1 teaching and 30 minutes of ensemble a week and 30 minutes of wider opportunities a week, at present. Pupils will generally expect a lesson once a week during term-time: this results in approximately 30 lessons during the year. There is no provision for lessons outside of school term.
Instrumental Staff are self-employed, and invoice parents of pupils direct. Fees are determined by the school: currently £18 per half-hour lesson.
