Based at Almondbank House, Perth

An opportunity has arisen, within the Inclusion Service, for us to recruit a Primary Pupil Support Teacher (PPST).  

The PPST appointed will contribute to the identification and assessment of children with Additional Support Needs, the planning of learning and teaching, cooperative teaching with class teachers and the professional development of staff.

Further, the PPST will work in partnership with specialist services and provide consultation opportunities to staff and parents.

In this post, you will support a number of Primary Schools.

The Individual

You will be require to have a current full driving licence to enable you to travel between a range of schools.

You should also have an understanding of the Pupil Support Teacher role and remit, experience of working with children and young people with a range of additional support needs and an understanding of inclusion and additional support needs within a legislative and educational context.
