Longtown Primary School is a school very much at the heart of the local community it serves. It has a long and proud tradition of educating and inspiring the children of north Carlisle. The Trustees are seeking to employ an outstanding teacher who is creative, dynamic, highly motivated and committed to improving the life chances of children.

The successful candidate will be joining Longtown as part of CET at an exciting time, as we continue to build on our successes and move forward on our journey.
We are looking for a committed and dynamic class teacher to join us in September on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will:

Please state your curriculum strengths in your application letter – experience of qualified teaching across a range of age groups would be highly advantageous. Year group allocations for September have not yet been finalised and may be subject to change due to internal requirements; applications are welcomed from teachers across a range of key stages. Applicants should state their key stage/year group strengths in their application letters; thereafter year group allocation for September 2023 for the successful candidate/s are at the Headteacher’s discretion.
