Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, proactive and highly capable Personal Assistant (PA) to support the Headteacher. The role requires a highly competent administrator with an eye for detail who is also able to work at a fast pace with competing time demands and deadlines. The successful candidate will be adaptable, flexible and resilient with a clear capacity to maintain confidentiality.

This is a key role in our growing, successful school. You will also liaise closely with the Business Manager, other members of the senior team and act as the first point of contact for many potential new or current staff, parents and members of the school community. This role is also the school contact point for Data Protection queries, liaising with our external Data Protection Officer when necessary.

The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to ensure that you are able to relate to people at all levels and react calmly in challenging situations. A positive, professional and can-do attitude is essential, as is a sense of humour. The role links to a highly capable team across the school but requires the post holder to work independently and autonomously when necessary. Excellent IT skills and accurate written communication are essential.

The salary scale for this post is the Local Authority Grade 7, £22,401 - £25,463 per annum - Pay Award Pending. The approximate pro rata salary is £19,849 per annum. The job description for this post is generic but there will be every opportunity as part of the interview process to discuss this in detail.

Please note, this role is full-time, 37 hours per week (08:30am to 4:30pm), term time 39 Weeks + 5 days. Flexibility required as per the need of the job.
