We are seeking a permanent, part-time Personnel Assistant to work alongside the Personnel Manager in a busy and friendly environment. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys an interesting and diverse workload. You will be required to provide the Personnel Manager with a full range of administrative support that will extend from maintenance of personnel systems and files to the coordination of staff recruitment. The successful applicant will require plenty of tact and discretion in order to deal with sensitive information and will be respectful of staff confidentiality.

The actual working hours per week will be between 22 and 30 which can be negotiable according to availability and the days and hours of work can be flexible subject to work commitments and deadlines.

We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and excellent interpersonal and organisational skills who is able to work under pressure and use their own initiative. Sound word-processing skills, ICT competency and a good telephone manner are essential.

The salary will be on the sixth form colleges’ support staff salary scale between points 22 and 25 depending on experience. On the basis of 22 hours per week, this currently works out as £12,721 – £13,909 actual gross per annum, inclusive of London Weighting (£2,505 pro-rata, per annum). The actual salary for 30 hours per week would be £17,347 – £18,967 gross per annum and inclusive of London Weighting.
