Langley Grammar School is an outstanding school and we are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our busy school support team to lead the personnel function at our high-achieving secondary (11-18) school; we have approximately 1,100 students and 115 staff. The school is currently expanding by one form of entry each year, and has just embarked upon a major rebuilding project to provide a new teaching block and front of house/administration block.
Reporting to the Business Manager, the Personnel Manager will act as a proactive and responsive personnel advisory service to the school on employment legislation, policy and procedures, recruitment, conditions of service and best employment practice. The full job description and person specification is available in the information pack on the school website. Experience of working in a similar role is essential, preferably (but not necessarily) in a school environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly progressive school, and ultimately to make a positive impact on the achievements of our students. In return, we can offer you a competitive salary and a professional, supportive and welcoming environment in which to work. All staff have the option to join the Local Government Pension Scheme (a career average scheme), the employee pays 6.5% of salary and the School contributes a further 19.6%.
If you are interested in joining us at a highly successful and progressive school, an information pack and application form can be downloaded from the school website at www.lgs.slough.sch.uk. The application form and covering letter must be submitted; the School cannot accept CVs on their own although they may be included along with the application form and covering letter.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Applications should be returned by midday on Monday 01 July 2019 addressed to Mr G Trigg, Business Manager, or by email to email@example.com
