Are you an outstanding teacher with proven leadership qualities?

Penbridge School is looking for a visionary and enthusiastic leader to lead a phase (EYFS or KS1) and take our good school to the next level of its development. 

The successful candidate will thrive in reaching the highest levels of success while creating innovative approaches to Early Years or KS1 education. You will work alongside our experienced Senior Leadership Team and will therefore be taking part in strategic, long term decisions for the school. The Phase Lead will teach in one of our Reception classes to begin with and will be released for leadership time each week.

We are a welcoming 2 form entry Infant School that has merged with a 3/4 form entry Junior School to provide an all through primary education over two sites. We actively collaborate with other schools in the Portsmouth Hub and across our Trust.

Relationships are at the heart of our school and we are a Relational Practice school. We work closely with our parent community to engage and involve them in their child's learning.

About Us

Formally known as Penhale Infant School and Newbridge Junior School, we officially joined together in September 2022 to form Penbridge Infants and Junior School. The infants site comprises of a nursery with 24 places for funded 2-4 year olds and a 2-form entry Infant school with 180 children on the roll including 24 in our Rainbow Fish Inclusion Unit. The Juniors site comprises of a 4-form entry school with 440 children on the roll.

Formally known as Penhale Infant School and Newbridge Junior School, we officially joined together in September 2022 to form Penbridge Primary School. The infants site comprises of a nursery for 30 children and a 2-form entry infant school with 180 children on the roll including 16 in our Rainbow Fish Inclusion Unit.

Our aim is to provide an education that meets the needs of all our children, and we expect high standards of behaviour and a positive attitude to learning. Staff must share this same passion and be role models for our pupils with their diligence and commitment. In turn, our staff are supported with a framework that aims to bring the best out of them, within an environment that encourages reflection and improvement.
