TLC Private School located in Cyprus is looking to appoint a permanent Full Time Teacher of PE, to start September 2024. We are seeking a professional and positive individual, able to work effectively as part of a team and who is able to engage with all students and deliver high quality PE lessons. We are an inclusive English school committed to offering diverse programmes to meet the needs of all our students. The successful candidate would be expected to deliver a broad programme of sports lessons to as part of our core PE provision across Years 7 - 13, as well as teaching our GCSE course, as well as be committed to provide extra-curricular activities and forge positive relationships within the local community in order to promote inter-school sports fixtures.
The successful candidate will:
- have the right to work in the EU.
- have a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
- have a teaching qualification relevant to the secondary education level (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed.).
- have previous experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting is highly desirable.
- demonstrate ability to instruct a wide range of sports and physical activities.
- have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- be committed to student safety, well-being, and holistic development.
- have the ability to work effectively in a diverse, international school environment.
- must have a high standard of both spoken and written English.
- be expected to provide evidence of a clear criminal record.
