Established in 1972, Dover Court International School in Singapore is a leading inclusive international school with British heritage, serving international families, set on a green 12-acre site about 20 minutes from the Singapore CBD. Dover Court International School is a community with inclusion at its heart. In our Early Years we use a Reggio Emilia inspired approach. We also offer courses that focus on English, mathematics, life skills and employability through ASDAN programmes.

All students are involved in a wide range of co-curricular activities, mainly run by teaching staff. Resulting in a rich and varied co-curricular offer for our students, with our school active and competitive in the local international school sports league across a number of sports. The school has an extensive programme of residential trips starting in Year 3 up to the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award in Secondary.

We are also members of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) and are accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Global academic results

The 2021-2022 school year was one of the strongest ever in terms of Nord Anglia Education’s academic results. For the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, our students achieved a 35.1 global point average, far exceeding the global average of 31.9. A third of students eared a perfect score of 45. In the A-levels, our students achieved 60.5% of grades at A*-A, along with 77.3% at A*-B. The group’s latest IGCSE student cohort, consisting of 2,351 students across 41 Nord Anglia schools, achieving an outstanding set of results, with 52.8% of grades at 9 – 7 for the year and 90.8% at 9-4.

About the role

An outstanding and inspirational Secondary Physical Education Specialist Teacher is required to start in August 2023.

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player to join our dynamic Physical Education Team. The right candidate will be committed to building belief and creating a lifelong love of sport and fitness. Working with secondary students, the successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to meet individual needs providing an inclusive curriculum which is engaging, challenging and presents appropriate exposure to school physical activity and sport opportunities.

The successful candidate will be committed to supporting our co-curricular programme, and demonstrate excellent communication skills when working in partnership with parents, staff and the children themselves.

You will foster an environment of respect within the classroom, facilitating learning through questioning and discussion.
