Tewkesbury School is seeking a PE Technician to support the Physical Education department in delivering its curriculum and extra-curricular activities. Applicants must be able to work independently and show initiative.
15 hours per week, Term time only - approximately 3 hours per day, negotiable. This role can be combined with a supervisor role if you are seeking more hours.
The role of the PE Technician is to support the Physical Education department in delivering its curriculum and extra-curricular activities. Applicants must be able to work independently and show initiative. The tasks are wide-ranging to include:
Assist in setting up equipment for example, trampolines, badminton nets, gym equipment and ICT equipment.
The PE department uses numerous pieces of equipment, some basic, some more substantial, we are required to regularly check and record all equipment used. Some equipment can become damaged and requires repair. This task needs to be done in a thorough methodical way, using a preventative maintenance approach.
The Technician will make sure all kit is clean, dry and ready to be used.
The Technician will co-ordinate making fixtures, confirming fixtures on the day, booking coaches, confirming coaches and producing fixture lists.

A year later, and there has been rapid improvement in the key areas of SEND, early reading and behaviour. The staff and leadership teams are engaged in a relentless drive for the Academy to regain Good and then move beyond that to be the great school this community deserves.
