Job overview

The successful candidate will assist with the design, installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and operation of these systems. You will work within the IT and Network Services Team and will be required to respond to requests relating to these systems. This includes compiling evidence for security incidents, conducting routine system checks, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and data protection requirements, and technically supporting the systems.

You will also work closely with our safeguarding and security teams, liaise with external suppliers, and support wider IT and networking tasks, including cabling. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across both IT and physical security systems while making a real impact in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

We are looking for a self-motivated, results-driven individual with the technical skills and qualifications to support our security and IT systems. Ideally, you will hold an SIA CCTV badge, manufacturer accreditations with security or cabling providers, and at least a Level 2 qualification in a relevant technical subject. You should have proven experience installing and configuring security equipment, fault finding and resolving issues, working with security management systems and helpdesks, and installing and maintaining structured cabling systems. Experience in maintaining accurate records, asset management, and previous work within an education setting would be an advantage. Strong teamwork skills are essential, but you should also be confident working independently to achieve results.
