Wingate School is a family owned, selective school in the south of Tenerife open for over 35 years. We are rapidly growing and expanding school over subscribed in all Infant and Junior classes. Class sizes are a maximum of 24 in all years. We adopted the Google Classroom for Learning platform last September and all students in the Secondary school have laptops. In a very recent BSO Inspection, Wingate School was recognised as a "Good" school in all areas but "Good and often Outstanding" for teaching.  

Due to expanding student numbers, we require a teacher of Physics to teach in all Key Stages of the secondary school and Mathematics in KS3 & 4. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced or recently qualified teachers who wish to join strong Science and Maths Departments, directing the learning of motivated and conscientious students, in a forward thinking and successful school.

About Wingate School

Founded in 1982 by Chris and Margaret Green and initially only had seven students.

Wingate School is a British International school in Arona, Tenerife, Spain. Achieving a rating of "Outstanding" by PENTA inspectors in 2023.

Teaching from Foundation to Sixth Form with approximately 400 students in attendance.

With a multi-cultural community, with over 20 different nationalities and a maximum of 24 children per class.

The school promotes strong family values. It aims to foster independent, self-reliant learners who have a strong sense of self. They want to prepare students to work hard to achieve their full potential and to encourage them to make positive contributions to society.

Wingate School follows the UK National Curriculum with added Spanish Studies.  External examinations are IGCSE and A level exams with exam board Pearson -Edexcel

Extra-curriculars are also given an important role in the curriculum.

P.E as well as other sports are encouraged, external speakers and excursions are planned to supplement the students’ academic learning.

Activities such as drama and fundraising activities are also available.
