This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated professional to join our successful, well-resourced Science faculty.  You will have genuine enthusiasm for working with our amazing students and helping to ensure Foxford School is an exceptional place to learn. 

 

We are looking for an inspiring, engaging and talented teacher who has the relevant skills to teach Physics and to be the Physics Lead under the direction of the Faculty Lead across the school to all key stages including A-level (KS3 to KS5). The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject, dedicated to providing exceptional learning experiences within and beyond the classroom, and keen to contribute to wider aspects of School life. We currently offer separate sciences at Key Stage 4. This position would suit a candidate who aspires to be a Faculty Lead.

Candidates are sought who can demonstrate a successful track and particular aptitude for: 

·       Subject knowledge

·       Developing the practice of colleagues

·       Communication and relationship-building;

·       Teamwork and attention to detail. 

You will be able to demonstrate commitment and understanding in order that every student gets the personal support and challenge they need to progress and reach their full potential. We are dedicated to delivering a learning experience to all students which is stimulating and enjoyable, drawing from a wealth of extended learning environment and enrichment activities.

Headteacher - Alison Gallagher

Foxford Community School joined the Castle Phoenix Trust in October 2018, who are committed to supporting the vision and values of the new headteacher. Foxford is a co-educational maintained secondary school situated in Longford, Coventry. The school is for students aged 11-18 and features a sixth form with capacity for 200 students.

The new headteacher started at Foxford in October 2020 including new recruits to her leadership team. They are passionate about ensuring all students have a good education.
