Job overview

Are you a Physics force to be reckoned with? Do you have high expectations of yourself and your students? If you think you have what it takes to help our students develop an understanding and an appreciation of Physics then we would love to hear from you. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and inspiring Teacher of Physics to join our supportive and successful Science Department to teach across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.

We are interested in talking with candidates at all career stages including Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs), those looking for their next progression and also more experienced applicants, maybe looking to teach A Level Physics or even working towards leading the Physics Team. We will support you with your own continuous professional development. Our latest Ofsted inspection recognised that our “Staff feel highly valued” and “feel that leaders listen to them and believe that their well-being is a high priority” and as a result “receive the help and encouragement that they need to be able to excel in their own professional development”.

Your commitment, hard work and passion for Science, especially Physics, would be highly valued in a team who are committed to enabling all our students to achieve success. If you enjoy experimenting with new teaching strategies and resources to provide the best possible learning and development setting for students or enjoy the challenge of setting up extracurricular activities to help support our young people then we would welcome your application.

An ability to also teach Maths would be an advantage but not essential.

If you would like an informal discussion about the post, please contact Mr Ed Tyrrell, Curriculum Team Leader for Science on ETyrrell@congletonhigh.com or by telephone: 01260 730123.
