Job overview

As one of the fastest growing colleges in the country, these are exciting times at Coulsdon. Over the last three years, we have been partners with Reigate College in providing specialist sixth form education for over 3,000 full time students across the two colleges. Together, we ensure outstanding quality and exemplary support for the young people we serve. As a member of staff you will be valued and supported; in return we are looking for commitment, drive and enthusiasm.

We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Physics Teacher to join a successful and supportive department teaching A-Level. The candidate must be able to offer other science subjects, preferably at both A-Level and BTEC. The post provides an excellent opportunity for a teacher looking to progress his/her career and would suit either an experienced or a Newly Qualified Teacher wishing to develop his or her potential.

Management responsibility may be available to suitably experienced candidates

Our learners have high aspirational goals and the successful candidate must possess the skills to inspire and motivate learners to exceed their potential whilst working in a fast moving department.

The post is offered on a full-time permanent basis to start from September 2016.

The salary for a full-time teacher qualified to teach either 11-18 or post-16 depends on specific qualifications and experience. It is currently in the range of £24,383 to £34,536 per annum (including Outer London Allowance) with the possibility of a professional standards payment for experienced candidates.
