Physics Teacher @ MyEdSpace
Role Overview
Step into the future of education as MyEdSpace's dedicated Physics Teacher for Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. This position is a full-time role with ~6-12 lessons delivered per week.
What Is MyEdSpace?
At MyEdSpace, we find the best teachers on the planet and empower them to become the most inspiring, tech-enabled educators, able to reach the students who need them most – wherever they are, whatever their means.
Because we believe that every child deserves access to quality education, regardless of geography or socioeconomic background, to achieve their dreams and build a brighter future.
We achieve this by combining top teaching talent with cutting-edge technology, delivering engaging lessons and offering meaningful support to students and their families.
Our vision is ambitious: to revolutionize education, empower millions of students globally, and provide high-quality learning opportunities that transform lives.
We have just completed our Series A from top-tier investors and are ready to scale - we want you to lead the charge with us.
If you’re a top-performer, incredibly ambitious, and excited to redefine an industry on a societal level and make a real impact on the world - we’d love to hear from you.
Differences vs. A Traditional Teaching Role?
Like a normal teaching role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering your subject’s curriculum via interactive lessons, multiple times per week. We just do this via online live streams instead of in person.
Here’s the twist… We turn you into an educational influencer on social media. For context, our Maths teacher currently has over 2.4 million social media followers. As such, you will be a leading face of the company and need to be comfortable building this online presence. You will partake in marketing efforts, including building social media content and being featured in adverts to promote MyEdSpace and your course. You will report to our Head of Physics.
If you’re excited to change from a traditional school environment to a startup, where you can use technology to make a larger-scale impact, we want to hear from you!
Your Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging online lessons via live streams - interact with your class and answer questions as they arise
Prepare all course materials including full curriculum plans, lesson plans, presentations and homeworks etc
Create engaging educational content for social media (we will help at every step of the way, don’t worry)
Collaborate with our Marketing Team on innovative ad campaigns
Communicate with students and parents to refine our services
Support our Co-Founders in various other company initiatives
Ideally, you:
Hold a degree (or higher) in Physics or a related field, achieving a 2:1 or above
Achieved top grades at A-level, achieving A/A* in your subject at A-level
Are willing to work in London at least 1-2 days per week
Are a dedicated and hardworking individual
Have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience and QTS.
Have experience teaching AQA / OCR Physics at A-level
Authorised to work in the United Kingdom
Are willing to develop your personal brand on social media - we will help and give you all the tools needed to succeed but you have to be comfortable with the idea of becoming an influencer
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Is driven to develop personally, contributing to a transformative educational venture
What We Offer You:
An incredible salary (above UPS3) + large performance driven bonus
Up to £75,000 for top performers (pro rata)
Ownership stake in a rapidly growing startup
Comprehensive private healthcare
Flexibility: you'll stream 6-12 hours of lessons per week (mostly between 4:30pm and 9pm) but have a lot of flexibility to manage your schedule and workload around that.
Reduced admin and marking burdens
A unique opportunity unlike any other in the education space, where you can make an impact on a huge scale
Mentorship from an experienced management team focused on your growth. We have experience managing teams in some of the world’s largest corporates
We welcome applications from all qualified individuals, irrespective of their backgrounds. We cherish diversity and inclusion. At MyEdSpace, child welfare is paramount; our hiring reflects our dedication to their safety.
