About BASIS International & Bilingual Schools Chengdu
BASIS International & Bilingual Schools Chengdu opened in 2022 and serves students in Grades Pre-K – 11, with courses eventually being offered through Grade 12 and a capacity of over 1,800 students. This beautiful campus is our first to house both an international and bilingual curriculum in one location. Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan province—home to famous historic sites, cuisine, and culture. Our school is located in a new, high-tech area in the southwest of the city, convenient to the airport and with plenty of green space.
At BASIS, we believe students can achieve authentic learning through robust challenges. From middle school onwards, our students engage in advanced coursework, setting high expectations while establishing a solid foundation in core subjects, revisiting and reinforcing concepts in greater depth each year to prepare for entry into honors and Advanced Placement levels starting in ninth grade.
As a Physics teacher, you build upon this strong foundation, teaching topics such as Newtonian mechanics, work, energy, mechanical waves and sound, and introductory, simple circuits. You incorporate student-guided labs to give students hands-on experience and enhance understanding.
You will also:

Who We’re Looking For
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in your subject area.
- Experience: At least two years as the lead teacher in a classroom, a requirement for obtaining a working visa.

Opened in fall 2022, BASIS International & Bilingual Schools Chengdu serves students in Grades Pre-K - 10, and will eventually expand to offer courses through Grade 12, with a capacity of over 1,800 students. The school's facilities include state-of-the-art classrooms, cafeteria, library, gymnasium, science labs, and plenty of outdoor space.
